Lesson 2: The Law Books
The first five books of the Bible tell us how God created the world from nothing. We also see that everything God made was good and perfect. But it didn’t take long for sin to enter the world. Sin is anytime we disobey God. Sin made the perfect world God had made not perfect anymore. In the book of Exodus God gave his people the 10 Commandments to show them all the things they would have to do to try to be perfect. God knew that no one would be able to keep all of those rules perfectly though, so he was already working on a bigger plan to get rid of sin forever.
